Old
and New I think that during the Sermon on the Mount Jesus was ushering in the new covenant. We think to be blessed is to have everything we want, but Jesus explained how to be truly blessed. The Pharisees did things a certain way (mostly to gain attention - pride), but Jesus said to do things in a way that was quiet and between us and God (humility). The old way focused on what we did (sacrifices made for sin), but Jesus was showing that we needed Him as Savior, that we would never reach God's |

Sometimes I focus on self and think it's all about me and I'm doing just fine (thank you very much), and other times I fall on my knees before my Creator and know what a sinner I am and am so grateful for His provision of forgiveness. I am Black Onyx (sin, self, old) and White Jade (purity, humility, new). | ||||||||

Looking
Back I made this pendant from fine silver Precious Metal Clay. After I made it, I realized that this too could represent the study for me. The bird represents my spirit. I know Christ as my Savior and my spirit is ready and desires to fly forward with Christ, but I am so busy looking back and focusing on self, that I just sit on the branch. Thankfully, God is still working in me! Yes, I am old and new, and I do look back, .....but Christ!!!! Praise You, Jesus. |
