This card was based off of Matthew chapter 6 - especially verse one. Matt 6:1 "Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven." I have been noticing over and over again through this study that God doesn't want our works, He wants our hearts. So, what I do should be between God and me: prayer, fasting, giving, etc. For Him alone. Like in a closet with a lock on it. My heart and my actions, ... my whole self...should be for Him, the Master, alone.
