Earthen Salt

I tore the red cross from a salt-painted Shout Color Catcher which my husband used as a rag to sop up some black yuck last night when he was working on the laundry sink...obviously he has no appreciation of/for fine art!

I used the same quinacridone crimson paint for the heart-shaped drop of blood which transforms all those willing to go to the cross and be washed in the blood into pure, white salty salt. The brown around the white salt crystals represents the earth.
