In God We Trust

This was my second card. Just a few days ago, we found out we'd only received about 30% of our needed support for October. Yikes! So, this card was a lament about life in America, where we had a "real" job! The top is the cross on top of a sea. The cross pours showers of blessings onto us and through us. The top dollar is folded toward "in God we trust" to show that we also had to trust the Lord in America. The note in the middle is one we received from a classmate of Sophie's. In it, he had wadded up his hard earned money for us to go to France. It's a reminder to me that God is in control. The water flows down to our little bag of coins. It's 80 centimes--roughly the exchange rate. For every thousand dollars we take out, we get 800 euros. It is difficult to make ends meet with such an exchange! The verse on the side is from a lament psalm which reads, "The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied." Ps. 23:26. Underneath the hand is superimposed the word GRATITUDE, something God
continues to teach me. Oh to have gratitude every day. - Mary
