Esther

I found a gigantic white flower that reminded of "Myrtle"- a white blossom. I used the flower as a backdrop for a sort of clock that symbolizes the year-long process of beautification Myrtel went through to become the beautiful Queenly Esther.
All around the clock are symbols of the various beauty treatments she went through- facial saunas, diet, exercise, special food, getting her hair done, make-up galore...
I actually found a before-and-after picture of a woman that was on one of those Extreme Makeover T.V. shows, so I used her "before" picture to be Myrtle (kind of a homely name, in my reckoning). Myrtle has a tag on her picture that says "Underground Jew" signifying that she hid her identity.
At the "11th hour" she becomes Esther, the Star, with a new glamorous look. (Same woman, just the "after" picture.) - Erin
